Welcome to The Honest Italian
After being in the restaurant business since 1997, we decided to open Balham’s first woodfired pizza restaurant in 2012, using kiln dried hardwood sourced from sustainable British woodland.
With over 25 years’ experience and a passion for pizza’s, we use 72 hour slow fermented sour dough which is made on the premisses fresh each day and hand rolled by our pizzaiolo’s.
Our pizzas are a thin crust with freshly sourced ingredients. All our mozzarella, speciality cheeses and Italian meats come directly from Italy. Due to third party delivery platforms costs/ fees, our dining in menu/collection prices differ.

Favourite pizza in Balham! Great menu and really fresh pizzas. They do the best garlic bread too.

Amazing! Real authentic taste, just like the traditional pizza made by family run restaurants in
small Italian towns. Lovely restaurant for eat in but they are also have take away (you can collect or buy via apps such as Deliveroo).

Some of the best pizza in the British Isles. We order
from Honest Italian almost every week and are never disappointed. We are lazy cooks but very discerning with our pizza and Honest Italian truly blows us away week in, week out.
